Any good books or websites to help with literary analysis?

I'm going to apply for graduate school to major in creative writing and I have to write an essay about a book that demonstrates my critical thinking. My bachelor's degrees are in IT and business, so I have no idea how to write a critical analysis of a novel. Any websites or books to help? Or, does anyone have an example of a book being critically analyzed? I'm going to search my local library later for any magazines or books, but I have no idea what to look for. I'm searching Wikipedia at the moment, but I don't think that'll help too much.

I think some of these websites might help you get on the right track. [external link] … [external link] … [external link] …I just searched “literary criticism database” in Google. I’ve only used the second before, but the others are from universities (they’re .edu, anyway) so I assume they’re reliable. I’d use them, if that counts . . but they give you actual literary criticism of books and authors. I guess you could read some of those to get an idea of how to write your own. These could help you find books, as I don’t have any to recommend. Hey, I’ve never written a critical analysis either :) [external link] … [external link] …These could also help you: [external link] … [external link] …I asked a similar question to yours once and received a great answer, so I’ll look through it later and link you to it. Best wishes with your writing and application!** Tada! Magic :) [external link] ;…
