Not really. You have to seek God yourself. The best way to do that is through his living word. I don’t have to justify being a christian. I just am, and can’t believe in anything other than the truth. Sometimes the truth hurts, but it’s true nonetheless. Sometimes I want to go bury my head in the sand, but it doesn’t work. He who seeks to find his life shall lose it, but he who seeks to lose his life shall find it. In other words, you have to want to change. Here on earth, life is short. Hell is for all eternity. But Jesus didn’t come to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. That’s self explanatory. It’s better to give than to receive. I try not to dwell on the mistakes of the past.

I can’t convince you I can only help direct you towards God. You have the free will to do and believe as you wish. I do want you to know though that when I was going through a financial hardship knowig that Gid will never give me more than I can handle go me through it.

  3. uncondensable says:

Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much! :D And the Trinity is true!We are all sinners. JESUS is God, and JESUS is the only acceptable SACRIFICE and PAYMENT for our sins. Nothing else pays for any of our sins. All the good deeds in the world won’t pay for even ONE of our sins. All the “living a moral life” won’t pay for even one of our sins. “Religions of the world” cannot pay for ANYONE’S sins. The truth is that Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead. That is why Jesus had to die on the cross, because there is no other way for us to be saved. You must believe in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, to be saved! That simple! The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to hell, is by believing in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for all our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what!Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus alone to save you! It is impossible to lose or “leave” salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).Please pray now: “Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and that You rose from the dead, and I thank You for eternal life!” You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die! :D The ONLY WAY to get into heaven, is by believing in Jesus for His free gift of salvation! John 14:6, Acts 4:12, John 3:16!

If you want to be a Christian then accept Jesus into your heart and become one. It sounds like you do. You may hear an argument that you like and you may not but we are not what it’s all about. God is. If you feel that he is real then let down your guard and just accept Christ into your heart. If you want to believe something then you have to soften your heart and be open to it. I am a Christian because I know that God is real and that Christ came to save us from our sins and give us a way to get into heaven. I have posted some of my testimonies but you said no cutting and pasting (you can look at a question or two that I answered before this one and it should be there). God is real and He is love. Christianity is all about loving people and trying to live in an honorable way in order to better your life, the lives of everyone around you and get into heaven. There is a lot of darkness in the world and Christianity is the light. Don’t let anyone’s narrow view of Christianity affect your thinking either. Love is what is best so if someone is acting hatefully then it is not Christian (but we all make mistakes). Study your Bible, critics you feel you can trust and history, then let the Holy Spirit guide you in love. Join a church that preaches the Bible in love and in a way that causes love to grow and you to grow closer to God. Good luck and God bless:)

No one can convince you to be a christian. That is a CHOICE you have to make. I made it because my life was full of crap. I had no where to go. I hit rock bottom. From the age of birth to the age of 3 i was beaten, sexually abused, burnt with smokes, never fed, and had druggie and drunk parents. I was a cutter and had tried suicide over 20 times. The last time they said there was a slim chance I would make it past that night. I prayed for God to get me through that, I told him that If I made it just even one more day I would give him my heart. Well not only did I make it one more day, I made it a whole another year. I gave God my heart because I felt it was the only thing I hadn’t tried to help me through the pain. It was my last resort but it should have been my first. I don’t think you should ask people to convince you to become a christian, I think you should look at yourself and see what is really in your heart. You don’t need a reason to come to God. If you are asking this question, it means you are searching and just don’t know how to find him. I look at the world around me and wonder how so many things could defy what we all know. Look at the Giraffe for instance, The have enough blood pressure that if they put their heads down their brain should explode. But it doesn’t. That in itself is a miracle! You see God’s miracles everyday! What more proof do you need that he exists?

  7. toshiaki says:

I’ve done more than enough bad to know I am accountable to the one who created me…I know we are not alone in this life. I’ve seen enough of myself breaking His laws to know, I’ve already earned it’s penalty for breaking them willingly. Whether I think it’s “fair” or not is irrelevant..It’s the law, and death (eternal separation from God) is the penalty for breaking it. I choose to trust in His way of saving me from what I can’t pay…And I believe His way is Jesus Christ..Everything points to Him..His forgiveness lifts anvils of guilt. I know. We are all going to stand in judgment for our sins, whatever they may be in each individuals life…Kick, scream, cry, and yell all you want, it’s going to happen and when it does you have a choice in this life to make..When you are standing there are you willing to truly suffer God’s wrath against you in your sins? Or would you turn and ask for mercy? If you choose mercy, it’s in the person of Jesus Christ…God has reached down to you in your sins when you couldn’t reach up to Him…He already knows everything about you, there is no sin you can hide from Him…If you wish to no longer avoid Him and tell Him what you’ve been up to, He will hear you. If you believe that life is with Jesus Christ, you shall live as He promised.Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. This is not a fluff claim to make…

  8. asbestinize says:

I can’t convince you to become a Christian, that’s not my department (so to speak) that’s the job of the Holy Spirit. As a believer I have a couple of responsibilities:1) Share my faith with anyone who’ll listen2) Give an answer when asked…which I’ll do in a minute here3) Trust God to do the rest…I can’t change your heart, only God canThe interesting thing about Christianity is this: it’s the only faith in the world where God seeks us out even after we’ve messed it up. He does all the work to restore our broken relationship with Him, which by the way we wrecked, and He makes sure that we actually make it to heaven. He begins and carries onto completion the work He begins in us. I don’t have to do anything, be anyone, travel to any special city, carry any special beads, wear certain clothes – all I have to do is believe, repent of my sin and believe on the Lord. By rights He’s well within His purview to tell us to take a hike, we screwed up the relationship with our sin and it cost Him dearly to provide the means to make it right again. Every other faith/religion in the world has us seeking, pursuing, trying to get to God. It doesn’t flow out of us, it comes from and flows from His very being.

  11. Tetractinellida says:

I wouldn’t want you to be convinced by anything I say. Our logic and reasons are fallible.Notwithstanding, I refer you to the many fulfilled prophecies, the influence of the Christian faith wherever this has been preached, and the changes in people after they met Jesus Christ. Lee Strobel and others were “dyed in the wool” atheists but they did their homework, and arrived at their conclusions. Have you read any of his books?Besides, I ask you to read the Bible, especially the gospel of John. He wrote specifically for people who had questions about the Christian faith. Why not read the words of Jesus for yourself, if you haven’t done so? What do you have to lose?

  12. photocatalyzer says:

True christianity isnt just a religion u can try and see if u like… when someone is truely saved (by God through grace from Hell), it is bc the holy spirit has changed you… it is not about convincing ppl that life will be way better if u “accept Jesus”… its about giving ppl the gospel and alowing the holy spirit to work in that individual’s life. When someone is changed by God, they have new desires(which is why christians do good works, not bc we feel like we need to ‘earn’ Gods acceptance, its bc it flows out of us since we were changed from our old sinful selves), new loves and an ability to believe that God exists and the Bible is true, otherwise it will just be foolishness

i am a christian for many reasons. one is that since birth i have been in a church. my family is. my friends are. thats just how it is. the next is that since i am a christian, i pray and have conversations with God that get me through anything. he is always there. right now i probably don’t sound very convincing, but i know that he takes care of me and my family and that he has a plan for my life.

  15. enwrapping says:

im not going to convince you which is like forcing but ill tell you how i became a Christian. 5 years ago when i was 21, i was an atheist. i was a depressed guy. i always tried to kill myself by doing pill overdose and nothing happened. later that time i went to the streets and i saw a man dressed in robes. he looked very amazing, like he was an angel. he came up to me and i remember exactly what he said ” God loves you very much. Jesus came on earth to save us. love them and accept Jesus Christ as your savior!” i was shocked because usually the the people in my town kept silence in the streets. i walked the other way and i turned back, the man was gone! i was amazed. then i started to go to church and i prayed to God every night. every day my depression was getting off my back and now today i am a pastor and a missionary in California! I FEEL LOVED BY GOD AND JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT. heres a video of a girl who got a gift from, shes 12 too!

  17. firearm's says:

If you’re looking for a mind-blowing, life-altering response that will fit within the limitations of Yahoo! Answers, I can’t. Talking with people about Jesus Christ normally will entail a dialog. We would need to be able to trust each other in order to have a meaningful discussion. That would entail my taking to the time listen to what you’ve got to say as you explain your point of view to me. And that would mean that I would have to listen honestly to you and to stay off of my soapbox.**********Here’s a little of my perspective of faith. We are saved by God’s grace through our faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift. Grace is often defined as “unmerited favor”. It means that we don’t deserve it. We don’t earn it. It’s a gift. A life in Christ is not a adhering to a strict set of rules. That would be legalism, and it’s spiritually empty. On the other hand, a relationship with God is not a matter of not being repentant, getting some grace, and then going about sinning as usual. A mere intellectual belief in God is not a saving faith. When we repent our sinfulness and come to the foot of the cross, we receive forgiveness and God’s gift of salvation. We are in a relationship with God, and Christ gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit who sanctifies us. God’s sanctifying grace in our lives leads to a transformed heart. We are not instantly purified of all sin (i.e., we are not perfect) even after receiving salvation; however, we were spiritually dead before Christ, and we are spiritually alive with Christ. Just as a baby may wobble, stumble, and fall, we may also stumble and fall in our spiritual infancy. As we grow in our love for God and our fellow human beings, our walk with God is easier. So, sometimes we stumble, but our overall direction of motion is toward God’s glory. The good things that we do are not a matter of rule-keeping. Rather, they are the fruit of the love from within our hearts. Could you spit in the face of someone you truly love? So, good works are important in Christianity; however, they’re not for earning salvation but rather stemming from the love in our hearts through Christ. If we don’t see the work of God’s sanctifying grace, if we don’t experience a flowing love and a transformed heart, then we need to consider our standing with God. It’s important to note that I’m talking about an individual, personal, and private standing with God, and NOT the opinions of others. Actions can be emulated by the wicked of heart; faith cannot.Every one comes to Christ as a sinner. And as mentioned previously, we are saved by God’s grace through our faith in Christ. As sinners, none of us deserved to be saved, but God loves each of us and will save all who come to Him through Christ to receive that grace. And since we Christians, ourselves, are only saved by grace, soap boxing anyone else is hypocritical. Through a relationship with God, we love Him and our fellow human beings like we never imagined we could, and we begin to see life from and entirely new perspective.**********Whether or not you are ever convinced depends on whether or not you are open to other possibilities and are willing to examine those possibilities with an open heart.God bless!

no…its not my job to think for you…first you must begin with an open mind, understand science is limited, understand logic, rationale, and reasoning are all limited as well, then study religions to seem which one makes the most sense…not using your preconceived ideas or your understanding…

  19. opiophagy says:

Intelligent design has been thrown out the door? By whom? Here is the evidence for evolution, if you will:”Evolution is perhaps unique among major scientific theories in that the appeal for its acceptance is NOT THAT THERE IS EVIDENCE FOR IT, but that any other proposed interpretation of the data is wholly incredible.”—(A Short History of Science to the Nineteenth Century, by Charles Singer, p. 387, Emphasis added).Looks like you haven’t gone past high school biology books! As for Christianity there is enough evidence already out there. All you need to do is to open your eyes.

  24. ddd says:

I can present for you the evidence for Jesus’ resurrection. I have an email link in my profile. The evidence logically dictates that Jesus did indeed resurrect. He fulfilled biblical prophecies written 500 to 1000 years before He was born. He offers us wisdom, knowledge, moral teachings, reliable things that will help our lives. Jesus also gives us salvation. He is the intercessor between God and us. He speaks for us and vouches for us. He stands up for us. Jesus gave the sick, the poor, the disenfranchised, the handicapped, and other disadvantaged people hope, peace, and happiness. He gives people down on their luck the same things as well. “don’t say intelligent design, that arguement has been thrown out the door.”No, it hasn’t. Big Bang explains how the universe formed. Evolution explains how life evolved and formed. But try explaining abiogenesis, the Big Bang, Star Formation, and the Earth itself being conductive to life without a Creator? You can’t. Stephen Hawking, PCW Davies, Roger Penrose, Albert Einstein, John D. Barrow and Frank J. Tipler all agree that the odds of the universe, stars, and life existing when left only to chance are mathematically impossible. That we were created. I have the evidence of that as well.Take care.

  25. mapmaker says:

No matter what we say you will still chose to not believe in God. If you want to be a Christian and accept God into your life you have to truly ask Him into your life and accept him. Ask God that you want to believe in Him and you need help. Ask God to show you the way. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Only He can give us that perfect peacethat we all strive for; as long as we set our hearts and our minds onHim and His perfect love.To receive Jesus into your life you need to believe deep within yourheart that Jesus died on the cross and rose triumphantly from thegrave to redeem you for your sins. With heartfelt belief, trust andcomplete reliance on Jesus Christ, as Savior and Lord, (John 3:16-18),ask God to forgive you for sinning.
