Is the punctuation correct in this essay?

also would you change any of the sentances? Thanks-This past week I went to a play called Nickel and Dimed. It was about the working class. I hadn't planned on going until my teacher from the two college classes I take, told the class, it would be worth 20 points extra credit if we went. I'm always up for easy extra credit. What I didn't realize is how much I learned from the play and how much it affected my family. The play was about a writer Barbara, who tried living her life in different occupations such as a waitress, maid, nursing home worker, and a Wal-mart clerk. She had to find a place to live and be able to support herself. She found out that this was almost impossible to do with the wages these occupations pay. I realized how bad poverty is in this world. It was sad to think that some people are working two jobs and still can't afford to support themselves let alone someone else. I know it doesn't affect me as much as some people but it does seem to have
